Hazardous Materials Inspection Services Round 5. Scope of Work: Overview: Firm shall investigate assigned residential buildings identified for demolition, identify and document all friable and Class I and Class Il non-friable asbestos containing material and all suspected hazardous waste, collect any physical sampling of materials that may be present at the project site, quantify the amounts of those materials, and recommend methods for their proper removal and disposal. If the awarded contractor is not able to start work within 3 days of signed/countersigned contract or complete the work within 10 days of signed/countersigned contract; the county may award the work to the next vendor. There is no guarantee of the quantity of work. Structures may fall out of the program, be awarded to another contractor to meet state deadline requirements, or be inspected through another program. Letcher County Fiscal Court is seeking qualified environmental professionals licensed by the Division of Air Quality and accredited in the State of Kentucky to conduct Hazardous Material Surveys at eight (8) residential properties acquired by Letcher County through a voluntary property buyout grant program. Photographs of the property, sampling locations, and suspected asbestos containing material and/or hazardous waste shall be submitted with the Survey Report. The actual removal and disposal of said materials is not a part of this Contract and shall be undertaken by one or more Abatement/Demolition Contractors.
