Renovation of a medical facility in Fort Worth, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Each Respondent should carefully examine and familiarize itself with this Solicitation and all exhibits, drawings, specifications, and instructions included in this Solicitation. Each Respondent, by submitting a Solicitation Proposal, represents that Respondent has read and understands this Solicitation and the drawings, exhibits attached to this Solicitation. Question Deadline 07/15/2024 at 2:00 PM CT Respondents may, in the manner prescribed herein, present requests ("Submission Questions") for an explanation, clarification or interpretation of the BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS in this Solicitation and/or other requirements for submission of Solicitation Responses to the Solicitation Contact identified below during the proposal submission period. All Submission Questions must be submitted in writing and emailed to the Solicitation Contact, at the email address set forth below, and must reference the appropriate pages and sections number of this Solicitation that are the subject of such Submission Questions. The final date and time to submit Submission Questions is 07/15/2024, 2:00 p.m. Central Time. NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE. Confirmation of the delivery of Submission Questions to the District is the sole responsibility of the Respondent. The District may, in its sole discretion, elect not to answer or respond to any or all Submission Questions it receives, and the failure of refusal of the District to answer or respond to any Submission Question will not affect, in any way, this Solicitation. Submission Questions may be informally addressed during the Pre-Proposal Conference; provided, however, that no answer or response to any Submission Question by any representative of the District shall be effective unless and until it is issued by the District in writing in the form of one or more addenda to the Solicitation, and has been posted to the District's Solicitation website link prior to the Response Deadline. It is the responsibility of each Respondent to check the website for all addenda to the Solicitation up to the Response Deadline. National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) International Building Code (IBC) Guide for Inspection of Elevators - A17.2 Standards for the Qualification of Elevator Inspectors - ASME QEI-1 Vertical Transportation Handbook, 4th Edition B. Equipment shall be universally maintainable. C. Diagnostics shall be built in. D. A proprietary tool shall not be required for adjustment or maintenance. E. Parts shall be available for inventory... not just exchange. F. Technical training shall be available to all. G. Engineering and technical support available to all. H. All manuals and drawings shall be provided. I. The controller manufacturer shall provide direct support to the "end user" and their designated maintenance company J. Include any special tools, pass words, fault codes, fault code solutions, software package or manuals that are required for maintenance, trouble shooting, adjustments or performing safety tests of the installed elevators for the Owner's use. Owner shall not incur additional cost for service tool or devices. K. Demonstrate the ability to use non-proprietary means to adjust, trouble shoot and perform Code required Safety tests General Design Requirements A. The latest editions of the publications listed constitute the minimum requirements for elevator transportation systems, including design, methods of construction, manner of installation, and testing. American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Safety Codes for Elevators - A17.1, A17.3, A17.4, A17.5, A17.6, A18.1 Elevator Type, Size and Capacity A. Trauma Elevator will circulate doctors, nurses, technicians, administrative personnel, material management personnel, maintenance personnel and materials handling such as cart traffic and will serve the Helipad. Approximate platform size: 92" wide x 132" length. B. Existing Elevator capacity 9000# Capacity. C. Service to seven (7) floors. 3.1 Elevator Enclosure A. Elevator car enclosure has seven (7) front two-speed center opening doors. B. Existing enclosure canopy height inside the cab 8ft. C. Existing canopy to be painted white. D. Provide new clads: Front return panel(s), entrance columns, entrance transom shall be 14- gauge stainless steel full height of car. E. Side walls to be (3) Three Equal Sized horizontal panels in Rigidized Sandtex SS including all finished edges by Rigidized, butt-joint installation. One (1) vertical panel approximately 24" with finished edges butt-joint to horizontal panels at front of side walls, dimensions to be verified to align with the front return dimension for consistency in visible appearance. F. Rear Wall to be (3) Three Equal Sized horizontal panels in Rigidized Sandtex SS including all finished edges by Rigidized, butt-joint installation. All panels to be laid up on FR 3/4 " MDF. G. Recessed Base, Reveals and Frieze: stainless steel #4. H. Suspended Island Suspended ceiling to be faced with #4 brushed stainless-steel in 9 grid pattern with 1/8" routered black reveals. Lighting to be (9) Nine Man-D-Tec Eyebeam-SC 4100K. Access to emergency hatch must be included, hairline joint seam at escape hatch to be minimized. Emergency lighting not included. I. Two rows of handrails per wall, 1/4 " x 8" stainless steel #4 finish with returned ends. J. Flooring: 3/16" Stainless Steel Floor plate, AISI 304, ASTM A793, medium pattern diamond plate/tread plate with raised diamond lug pattern, skid and corrosive resistance. K. Front return, car doors and car operating panel shall be stainless steel satin finish. L. Provide a two speed heavy duty exhaust fan, Morrison AA or equal. M. All stainless steel shall match in color, texture and direction of grain. N. New car doors shall be reinforced two panels steel construction covered with stainless steel on the inside surface wrapped around the leading edge. The District maintains a policy of encouraging and engaging in business transactions with vendors who qualify and are certified under applicable law as Minority, Woman, and Veteran Owned Business Enterprises ("MWVBEs"). The District establishes a 25% good faith target goal The proposed term of the contract is one year
