The Newton Housing Authority invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the Balconies Repair project at the following locations: Horace Mann Development - 4-22 Brookside Ave; 674-690 Watertown Street;15-35 Walker Street, Newtonville, MA 02460 Tutorials, instructions and videos on how to complete the electronic bid documents are available online as well as in the Instructions to Bidders The work shall be commenced at the time stipulated in the Notice to Proceed to the contractor and shall be fully completed within 120 consecutive calendar days thereafter PROJECT SITES A. Horace Mann Development, 17 Walker St. Newtonville MA 02460 B. Jackson Gardens, 106 John F. Kennedy Circle, Newton MA 02458 Any prospective bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, specifications, drawings, etc., must request it at least 7 days before the scheduled time for bid opening. Requests may be oral or written. Oral requests must be confirmed in writing The Project consists of the concrete repair and replacement metal railings in selected locations as shown on the Drawings and described in the Specifications. The Work, including all alternates for the project, is estimated to cost $40,000.00 Goals for minority participation 18% Goals for female participation 6.9%
