The City of Greenville is assisting the Greenville Transit Authority (GTA) in Greenville, South Carolina, in soliciting proposals from qualified firms for the installation of bus stop pads, benches, solar lighting, trash receptacles, sidewalk, and other infrastructure in support of Greenville's public transit service. This project includes bus stops located along SCDOT and locally owned roads within GTA's service area. The deadline for questions is 2:00 p.m., July 22, 2024. Questions regarding the RFQ can be sent to: rgray@greenvillesc.gov BID BOND Offerors shall submit A BID BOND IN THE AMOUNT OF FIVE PERCENT (5%) OF QUOTED TOTAL BID PRICE with their proposals. This bond may be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or a bid bond from a surety and shall be made payable to the City of Greenville, South Carolina on behalf of the Greenville Transit Authority. Proposals submitted without being accompanied by any of the foregoing shall be considered non-responsive and will be rejected. The bond will be forfeited to the City by the successful offeror as liquidated damages in case a proposal award is made to that offeror and the contract and performance bond and/or payment bond are not promptly and properly executed as stated below. SCOPE OF SERVICES The contract for this work shall include the construction and installation of bus stop infrastructure forthe GTA d.b.a. Greenlink. Scope ofservices shall include the construction and installation of bus stop pads, sidewalks, bus stop signs, benches, solar lighting, trash cans, and other optional infrastructure such as bicycle racks. All bus stop infrastructure will be provided by GTA. The scope ofwork includes, but is not limited to: traffic control; construction of new bus stop locations; and curb & gutter. The contractor awarded the contract will be responsible for providing all materials and labor needed to complete the work. Generic construction drawings for different bus stopAll work will be awarded based on the availability offunding. Award shall be made to the responsive and responsible offeror whose proposal, conforming to all the material terms and conditions ofthe RFP, is the most advantageous to GTA. DBE Participation Goal. There is no specific DBE participation goal for this Project; however, GTA highly encourages their participation.
