Contractor agrees to provide to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Stationary and Portable Generator Preventative Maintenance, Repair and Emergency Services in Los Angeles and Kern County, as described herein: Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, vehicles, incidentals, and equipment necessary to provide annual and semi-annual, routine and non-routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, service, and repair of emergency generators. Proposed Award Date (estimate): July 23, 2024. Questions regarding this IFB must be submitted by May 15, 2024. Bidders must submit their questions via e-mail to Christian.Miller@dot.ca.gov. The successful bidder will be required to provide, prior to commencement of work under a Service Request, a Payment Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the total Service Request, if the Service Request price is $25,000 or more. The Payment Bond is not required at the time of bid submittal; however, it is required, as applicable, prior to the start date of the Service Request. Refer to Proposed Form of Agreement, Exhibit D, Attachment 4. As required by Executive Order S-02-06, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is committed to meeting the State's twenty-five percent (25%) Small Business (SB) participation goal. Certified SBs, Micro Businesses (MB), SBs for the purpose of Public Works (SB-PW) and Contractors willing to commit to subcontracting a minimum of twenty-five percent (25%) of their net bid price to certified SBs, or MBs (if applicable) are encouraged to submit bids. See Section D, Special Programs in this IFB for requirements. Caltrans reserves the right to reject all bids for reasonable cause.
