Work may include any and all phases of incident response including but not limited to: immediate mitigation measures, hazardous waste collection, packaging and disposal, refuse or spill cleanup materials, repairing or overpacking leaking containers for storage and transportation of soiled absorbent material and/or spill containment of leaking or damaged containers, diking or placing booms to prevent contaminated surface water or run-off from spreading, evaluation of cleanup and decontamination procedures, incidental sampling and analysis, obtaining required permits for the work, and preparation of reports. The Contractor will be responsible for designation, management, transport and disposal of hazardous waste, dangerous waste, other regulated wastes, and other wastes the County determines which are excluded from disposal at the Cedar Hills Regional Landfill. Not-to-Exceed Contract Price: $700,000 Work site: Various King County facilities located throughout Washington, primarily for the Permitting Division. No verbal answers by any County personnel or its agents and consultants will be binding on the County Bid Guaranty: Not less than five percent (5%) of the Total Bid Price. The work performed under this Contract shall not exceed $700,000 and the initial Contract Time shall not exceed 365 calendar days from the date of Contract Execution by the County. The County does not guarantee any minimum amount of work or that the dollar amount of the Work Orders issued will total $700,000 during the duration of this Contract. At the County's sole discretion, this Contract may be extended for one additional year or until the Not to Exceed Contract Price is reached, whichever occurs first. The County shall review all Work Orders issued under this Contract with an estimated value equal to or greater than $150,000 to establish a specific required or aspirational level of participation by Certified Firms, Apprentices and or Priority Workers Pre-Bid Conference: A pre-bid conference is not scheduled. Subcontracting Opportunities: Temporary utilities, controls, facilities and construction aids; environmental protection; nuisance abatement; decontamination and cleaning; demolition and removal; waste handling, transportation and disposal; and site restoration and rehabilitation. Apprenticeship Requirements: 5% minimum Apprentice Utilization Requirement of the total labor hours worked during the contract. SCS Utilization Requirements. 10% minimum requirement for King County Certified Small Contractors and Suppliers (SCS) for the total price of all executed Work Orders.
