The Town of Halifax (the Town) is seeking sealed bids from qualified contractors for the removal and replacement of accessible bituminous concrete sidewalks, parking areas and associated minor site work, (the Project) located at the Halifax Elementary School and Halifax Public Library. All work to be completed per this IFB is identified as project one (1) in the plan set. The Town of Halifax is seeking sealed bids from qualified contractors for the removal and replacement of accessible bituminous concrete sidewalk, parking spaces, and all associated minor site work, (the Project) located at the Halifax Elementary School and Halifax Public Library (identified as Project 1 in the documents). Contractors are to supply all materials and labor for the project, and to provide proof of general liability and workers compensation insurance at the state required minimum level upon award of the project. The Town will award the contract to the bidder(s) deemed most appropriate for the Project. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids as determined to be in the best interests of the Town. Unless sooner rejected or accepted, all bid proposals must be firm and continue in effect for ninety (90) calendar days following the date of bid opening. Timely Project completion is a priority for the Town, with an expectation that the Project will commence as soon as possible and be completed prior to the first week of September 2024. Consideration of Bidder's availability and accommodation of the desired Project schedule will be considered during contractor selection. Responses to Questions Issued to Bidders: July 15, 2024 (by 12:00 pm) The bid must satisfy all requirements to be considered for award. Failure to complete the required forms, answer any questions, or provide the required documentation will result in the bid being deemed NON-RESPONSIVE and will result in rejection by the Town unless it is determined, solely by the Town, that any such failure constitutes a minor informality that can be corrected without prejudice to other bidders. The Town reserves the right to waive all minor informalities and reject any and all bids as determined to be in the best interests of the Town. The Town will review all bids and will award a contract to the bidder(s) deemed appropriate for the Project, based upon price, experience, and availability to complete the Project..
