Estimate: $175,000 The deadline to ask questions is 7/23/2024 5:00 PM CST It is the intent and purpose of these documents to provide supervision, labor, and equipment to hot-tap and subsequently remove pipelines identified as unclaimed or abandoned in accordance with this Scope of Work and depicted in Exhibit A. Work to be performed by the Contractor shall generally be as follows: a) Contractor shall perform coordination with Texas "One-Call" excavation safety and underground facility damage prevention notification system. b) Contractor shall provide a written hot-tap and removal plan to Owner for review and approval prior to mobilization. Plan shall utilize Best Management Practices (BMPs) to prevent possible residue in pipelines from contaminating LNVA rights of way or waterways. c) Contractor shall provide any matting necessary for access to the site(s). Such costs shall be included in the base bid. d) Contractor shall hot-tap all pipelines identified for such work included herein and depicted in Exhibit A in accordance with current industry safety standards. Contractor shall be solely responsible for the means and methods determined appropriate for each identified pipeline. e) Upon successful hot-tapping, Contractor shall advise Owner whether or not contents or line pressure was encountered. f) If the line is found to be empty, Owner will direct Contractor to proceed with removal to the limits shown in Exhibit A, or as otherwise directed. If the line is found to contain contents or line pressure, Owner will advise Contractor how to proceed based on the findings. Any additional work required as a result of the findings will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis. g) Collect and dispose all removed materials off site in a legal manner. h) Contractor shall cap or plug remaining pipeline at or near LNVA right of way line, as appropriate.
