Qualified contractors/builders to design and construct a new stage for our annual Downtown Lighting Celebration. The right is reserved by Cedar City to reject any and all proposals. Stage Dimensions: The width of the stage must be at least 32 feet, no wider than 48 feet. The depth of the main portion of the stage should be at least 8 feet. The main portion of the stage must also be at least 3 feet high. The stage may also include custom landings to gap the stairs from the main entrance of the City Office building. Other dimensions will vary based on design. - Location: The stage will be installed on and around the stairs leading up to the main entrance of the Cedar City Offices. - Durability: The stage must be able to withstand the weight and movement of at least 25 performers dancing, jumping, and moving vigorously. Surface must be highly durable as well to accommodate a variety of set pieces, chair/table legs, tap shoes, weather, etc. - Portability: The stage must be able to be broken down and stored for use in subsequent years. 1. Design: - Develop a detailed design of the stage that meets the specified requirements. - Ensure the design complements the aesthetics of the City Offices and the surrounding area. - Include features for safety, stability, and ease of installation and breakdown. 2. Construction: - Use high-quality, durable materials that can withstand outdoor conditions. - Ensure the stage is sturdy and stable enough to support dynamic performances. 3. Installation: - Assistance with first installation. (Subsequent years, installation will be managed by the city) - Provide a detailed plan for the annual installation of the stage, including the estimated time required. - Ensure the stage can be securely installed on and around the stairs of the City Offices. 4. Breakdown and Storage: - Develop a plan for breaking down the stage for storage. - Ensure the stage components can be easily stored and are durable enough for repeated use.
