Project Title: FY24 PNQS 24-2807 Repair Chilled Water System Bldg. 1487 Project Location: Maxwell, AFB Furnish all plant, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform all work in connection with Project Number PNQS 24-2807, REPAIR CHILLED WATER SYSTEM AT BLDG 1487, MAXWELL AFB in accordance with the attached specifications, and drawings. The estimated magnitude of this construction project is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Questions and Responses to this notice must be provided in writing via e-mail to the CS, Khadijah Jones, 334-953-3879, khadijah.jones.1us.af.mil, and/or CO, Eldrae Perdue (334) 953-3518, eldrae.perdueus.af.mil. All questions must be received by Wednesday, 07 August 2024 at 4:30 pm CDT. Upon receipt of your proposal, the Government will confirm receipt within 24 hours. If a confirmation has not been received within 24 hours, please contact the CS and the CO identified in this notice. SUMMARY OF WORK The work covered by these specifications consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing all operations in connection with the Repair Chilled Water System at Maxwell AFB Building 1487 to include all areas as indicated on drawings and in strict accordance with these specifications and applicable drawings and subject to terms and conditions of the contract. The work generally consists of the following: 1.01.1 Demolish existing chiller and associated aboveground chilled water supply (CHWS) and chilled water return (CHWR) piping located in chiller yard. 1.01.2 Demolish existing chilled water (CHW) duplex horizontal split case pumps and associated starters. 1.01.3 Demolish existing CHW piping in boiler/pump room from but not to include each existing pump's isolation valve on the suction side of each CHW pump and from the discharge side of each existing CHW pump up to but not including the discharge isolation valves. 1.01.4 Demolish existing CHW air separator, expansion tank, and chemical feeder tank. 1.01.5 Demolish existing CHW control valves on each of the four building 1487 air handlers. 1.01.6 Demolish existing CHW controller. 1.01.7 Demolish existing R2 JACE controllers. 1.01.8 Furnish and install Trane RTAF 200 nominal ton chiller complete with 5-year parts, labor and refrigerant warranty. 1.01.9 Furnish and install outdoor chiller piping, fittings, valves, piping supports, instrumentation, and insulation. Furnish and install heat tracing of all aboveground CHW piping located in chiller yard. 1.01.10 Furnish and install all chiller electrical power per contractor's registered electrical engineers approved design. 60 days after notice to proceed is issued, contractor's registered electrical engineer shall issue electrical design for review and comment. 1.01.11 Furnish and install duplex vertical inline split coupled 25 HP CHW pumps, associated piping, fittings, valves, instrumentation, and insulation. 1.01.12 Furnish and install CHW piping air separator, CHW expansion tank, chemical feeder tank, and associated piping and insulation. 1.01.13 Furnish and install variable frequency drive for each of the two CHW pumps. 1.01.14 Furnish and install duplex CHW pumps electrical power per contractor's registered electrical engineer's approved design.60 days after notice to proceed is issued, contractor's registered electrical engineer shall issue electrical design for review and comment. 1.01.15 Furnish and install modulating characterized ball control valves on all four (4) building air handling unit chilled water coils per schedule. 1.01.16 Furnish, install, wire, and program all necessary and required building automation system (BAS) controllers, sensors, and instrumentation to include two (2) each, N4 JACES, CHW System controller, and air handler controllers to provide for a functioning automated CHW system.
