Saving Project...

Site work for a water / sewer project in Brighton, Colorado. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The purpose of this project is to design improvements for the NWTP to restore plant capacity and improve operability. This will be accomplished with the addition of a fifth duty RO train and replacement of the Phase 2 cartridge filter housings. Additionally, two construction bid alternates will be provided for the addition of a UV system in Phase 2 and a fourth high service pump. Any questions are to be submitted in writing to Irene Wilson, PMP, with CDM Smith, at wilsonie@cdmsmith.com. Questions may be submitted up to 5 p.m. MT on July 22, 2024 Project at costs expected to be approximately $11million Project Description The District has initiated conceptual design activities to add a fifth RO train to restore the maximum production capacity of the plant to approximately 20.5 MGD and firm capacity to 16.5 MGD. This expansion is based on restoration of previous capacity, not true expansion, due to reduction in RO bypass flows. Alongside the fifth RO train, the design includes retrofitting and expanding the existing pretreatment system. Additionally, the expansion of the existing UV system and an additional high service pump are being considered as a bid alternates for construction. ECCV will provide SCADA system programming of their system, including downloading the programming to any new control systems and to radios required to communicate with the new equipment. The infrastructure is to be constructed on property owned by ECCV. Engineering design of the facilities is underway and is approximately 10 percent complete. Project construction cost is estimated to be in the range of $11 million. Schedule acceleration and Contractor input during the design process are the primary reasons for engaging a construction contractor at this time. The District expects CDM Smith, the Contractor, and District staff to work as a team to manage, design, and construct the Project in an efficient, timely, and cost-effective manner. The Project requires all team members working in an atmosphere of trust with all parties working towards the same goals The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or to accept that proposal or combination of proposals, if any, which in its sole and absolute judgment, will under all circumstances best serve the District's interest. No proposal will be accepted from any first, person, or corporation, who is a defaulter as to surety or otherwise, or is deemed incompetent, irresponsible, or unreliable by the District Board of Directors.
