Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The project involves the widening, resurfacing, and realigning portions of English Creek Ave. (Co. Rt. 575) Section 2ef in Egg Harbor Township. Major work items will include, but not be limited to: Boxout (Excavation, DGA, and HMA Base Course 4 Thick) and Resurfacing (Profile Milling, HMA Base Course 2 Thick, and HMA Surface Course 2 Thick). Additional Improvements include replacement of curbing, driveways, sidewalk, ADA curb ramps, drainage structures, traffic striping/markings/symbols, raised pavement markers, signage, guide rail, and all other items shown on the project plans. Certified Check, Cashiers Check or Bid Bond must be not less than ten (10%) percent of the total amount of the bid Question Deadline 07/15/2024 at 12:00 PM ET The project involves the widening, resurfacing, and realigning portions of English Creek Ave. (Co. Rt. 575) Section 2ef in Egg Harbor Township. Major work items will include, but not be limited to: Boxout (Excavation, DGA, and HMA Base Course 4" Thick) and Resurfacing (Profile Milling, HMA Base Course 2" Thick, and HMA Surface Course 2" Thick). Additional Improvements include replacement of curbing, driveways, sidewalk, ADA curb ramps, drainage structures, traffic striping/markings/symbols, raised pavement markers, signage, guide rail, and all other items shown on the project plans. The depth of the storm sewer shown on the plans is from the surface grade to the invert of the pipeline. It is the Contractor's responsibility to call before they dig, and if needed perform test pit excavations to determine actual dimensions and locations of utilities. If a conflict is found with the proposed improvements the Contractor may be allowed, with the County Engineer's approval, to use if and where directed pipe material and/or adjust inverts to avoid utility relocation and contract down time. If not allowed, then it will be the Contractor's responsibility to coordinate with the utility companies for the relocation of underground facilities. Milling and surfacing paving operations shall be limited to nighttime work (section 153.03.04.1 of County Special Provisions), unless otherwise approved by the County Engineer). These major paving items include but may not be limited to: "HMA Milling, Variable Depth, and "Hot Mix Asphalt 12.5ME Surface Course 2" Thick & Variable" will be allowed in only one direction of travel of the County Roadway at a time, unless otherwise approved by the County Engineer. Traffic flow in the Southbound direction is to be always maintained utilizing lane shifts when necessary. Traffic in the Northbound shall be detoured, as per the traffic control plan or an alternating traffic scheme may be used. Each phase of work must be scheduled to complete HMA base paving prior to the end the work week. There will be no separate payment for the Contractor's following responsibilities: o Mobilization related to the proposed improvements. o Horizontal and vertical adjustments of utility facilities affecting the installation of the proposed improvements. o Coordination with the applicable utility companies regarding the above-mentioned adjustments. o Restoration of grass areas with topsoil, fertilizer, and seed type A-3 as a direct result of incidental disturbance from construction activities. o Construction layout. o Soil erosion and sediment control. o Obtain a Highway Occupancy Permit to erect construction signs on State Highways. o All traffic control or detours shall be Coordinated with local businesses and residents within project limits, Atlantic County Engineer's Office, local police department, fire department, school, and public transportation agencies (i.e. Bus routes, Caring Adult Day Care transportation, etc.). o All other items noted on the project plans and described in the project specifications.
