Site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Quincy, Illinois. Completed plans call for the construction of a 8,400-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.
Question Deadline 08/07/2024 Last Request for Substitution Due: 7 days prior to due date of bids. The project consists of a new 60'-0" x 140'-0" pre-engineered metal storage building with overhead doors, standard doors, concrete flooring, unit heaters and a sprinkler system. Some demolition of the existing concrete paving is required. Site work includes aggregate paving and utility extensions. All bids shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the "Proposal Bid" form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the city of Quincy, or a bank cashier's check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications. The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past. The City of Quincy is an Equal Opportunity-Affirmative Action Employer and encourages minority group participation in the bidding and construction process. Bidders are notified that no less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor shall be paid to all workers performing work under this contract.
