The USDA Forest Service, Gila National Forest, Silver City Ranger District, Silver City New Mexico has a project comprised of, but not necessarily limited to, furnishing labor and equipment to construct a non-potable water well approximately from 150 to 300 feet deep. Davis Bacon wages apply. The government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract using Request for Proposal, Best Value method. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. There will not be a scheduled site visit for this project. Due date to submit questions is 7/17/2024. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The work is comprised of, but not necessarily limited to, furnishing labor and equipment to construct a non-potable water well approximately from 150 to 300 feet deep. The well will be equipped by the contractor with a solar submersible pump (with capabilities equivalent or greater than a Grundfos 6SQF3), appropriate non-tracking solar panel array for pump, pipe, wiring etc. that the contractor provides. Well will be outfitted with pitless adapter and all conduit buried to array. The set up would include providing a 3000-gallon water storage tank, and solar panel and rack for the panel, water line to trough and a float. The district will provide a rubber tire for a drinker. The well shall meet all livestock (non-potable) well codes and regulations. NMOSE Exploratory Well Permit will be acquired by the USFS. Contractor shall acquire any additional required permits.
