For the 2024 Croll Road Improvement Project. Bids for this Contract shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid. All Bids shall be effective for sixty (60) calendar days . The Work must be completed prior to October 25, 2024. The Work generally consists of furnishing all equipment, labor and materials for, but not necessarily limited to, the following: bituminous overlay, incidental milling and sealing. The work location is more specifically identified in the project manual/bid documents. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond, and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. The project documents contain provisions regarding the applicability of PA Prevailing Wages. Liquid Fuels funds will be utilized for funding a portion of this project and all materials and work must conform to the most recent edition of PennDOT Publication 408 in place at the time of bid submission unless otherwise specified. North Union Township reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or portions thereof, and to accept any Bid, or portion of Bid, and the right to waive any immaterial defects in the bidding process, which in its judgment is in the best interest of the Township. North Union Township and their representatives are not responsible for bids mailed but not received. Work generally consists of the following: Bituminous overlay, incidental milling and sealing as more specifically indicated in Attachment 1-A. Maintenance and Protection of Traffic, bituminous tack coat, milled pavement notches at driveways, intersecting streets and the beginning and end of the project limits, utility adjustments (unless specified otherwise), and seam sealing are incidental to the work.
