Design Professional Services for DP Renovation of Harry Downs Building for Nursing & Dental Hygiene, Clayton State University, Morrow, Georgia. Questions about any aspect of the RFQ/RFP, or the project. The purpose of the project is to accommodate the SON and DHP instructional laboratory and clinical functions in spaces with improved functional quality and capacity. The primary goals are to improve student outcomes while enabling potential program and enrollment growth. Non-COH occupants currently in Harry Downs will be relocated permanently to enable the project. Key project scope elements are: o Full renewal of building HVAC systems (air handlers, VAV, terminal units, and controls) o Renovation and selective reconfiguration of ~65% of the building (~32K GSF). Priority needs are: o Expansion and optimization of Nursing simulation, practice, and instructional labs (currently on multiple floors in Harry Downs) o Relocation and enhancement of Dental Hygiene clinic and instructional labs (currently in Edgewater) o New clinical/simulation equipment - significant for Dental Hygiene Program, selected for Nursing Program o Associated student support facilities and modest engagement/collaboration/study space for COH students o Office and service space for faculty and staff (CON, DHP, and COH admin) o Instructional technology upgrades in remaining general classrooms (intended for use by both COH and other CLSU users) o Selective, modest common area upgrades. As of July 7, 2025, construction is slated to begin in January 2026. The firm timeline has not been released. The completion timeline has not been disclosed.
