The bridge walkways are approximately 5 feet wide. 1.2 The bridge has approximately 65,000 SF of flatwork and barrier wall. (55' x 12,500'). 1.3 The structures for power washing are: the east and west bridge walkways, bridge inner and outer walls, the guard rail steel, and the full median jersey barrier. Pillars below the bridge are not included. 1.4 The structures to paint are: bridge inner and outer walls and the full median jersey barrier. Pillars below the bridge are not included. 1.5 The bridge spans a railroad and includes 200 linear ft of fencing that runs along the bridge at its highest points to prevent people from jumping or falling from the bridge to the tracks. The fencing is not a part of the project and paint overspray should be avoided. 1.6 The areas are accessible on all four sides of the bridge (pictures in Exhibit A). These areas may require specialty tools, boom lifts or other equipment in order to access the outer walls to pressure wash and paint, depending on Contractor's preferred means and methods.
