Scope of Work Work related to this project shall include approximately 200 feet by 375 feet of space requiring a new irrigation system. The estimated water pressure is 60 PSI. The Town will pour a concrete pad and/or construct a shed for housing, extend a 2-inch water service line, install a water meter, and hire an electrician to bring electrical service (110v) to the pad. In addition, Town shall purchase and install backflow prevention equipment with blowout adapter. See Appendix A – Map of Payson Field for an aerial overview of the site. The Contractor shall design, purchase, and install a new programmable system: • The new system will ensure full coverage of the specified area as detailed in Appendix A. • The zoning and sprinkler head count of the new system shall be designed and installed based on the provided system pressure and not require additional pump infrastructure. • The new system must include rain sensors to assist with water conservation efforts. • The new system must include a Hunter controller system or equal controller equipment. • The new system’s valves must be installed and buried in boxes for protection and serviceability. • The new system’s pipe materials and sprinkler heads must meet industry standards and be suitable for use in an active playing field. • The Contractor will coordinate with the Department of Public Works prior to project commencement to ensure system requirements will be met. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000.
