Colchester Balefill Facility Final Cover Construction of MSW Landfill Cells I-1, I-2 and I-3. Generally, the scope of work for the final cover construction includes: a clay barrier using screened material from an on-site borrow source; geotextiles and geocomposite materials; a granular drainage layer; a vegetative soil layer using compost materials from existing on-site stockpiles; hydroseeding the vegetative soil layer and any disturbed areas; granular side slope check dams; geomembrane-lined side slope ditches; clean-out and connection into existing perimeter ditches and drainage infrastructure; top of slope diversion berms and future cell cap connection berms modifying existing site infrastructure such as manhole grade rings erosion and sedimentation control Tender documents and drawings can be requested from Shawna Harvey by phone at 902-897-8226 or by email at SHarvey@colchester.ca.
