The Town of Champdore invites tenders for Plowing, Salting, and Sanding on all streets, sidewalks, municipal driveways and parking lots for a three (3) year period with the possibility of a two (2) year extension in accordance with the specifications provided. A letter of guarantee or Certified Cheque, 10% of total tender price, must accompany the tender. Bonds or cheques shall be payable to the Town of Champdore. The contractor shall provide winter maintenance services as necessary on all streets covered by this contract from November 1, 2024 until April 30, 2027 with an option of granting an extension for an additional period of two (2) years that would start November 1, 2027 up to and including April 30, 2029. The contractor shall provide the services and materials required herein during the following intervals: November 1, 2024 - April 30, 2025 November 1, 2025 - April 30, 2026 November 1, 2026 - April 30, 2027 This tender is for 3 years with the option to renew under mutual agreement for a 2-year extension at the tendered price, subject to minor changes in pricing as mutually agreed. November 1, 2027 - April 30. 2028 November 1, 2028 - April 30, 2029 The Town of Champdore reserves the right, in the event that the successful bidder fails to comply with the conditions as listed, to cancel this contract and award it to another contractor without penalty or action against the Town. The Town of Champdore does not limit itself to accepting the lowest or any tender submitted. However the Town does reserves the right to award in any manner deemed to be in the Town's best interest. Tender evaluation will consider a number of factors including but not limited to price, equipment type, quantity and experience in winter maintenance. Tenders with the lowest price or any tenders will not necessarily be accepted.
