Site work for a civil project in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
City of Fort Saskatchewan industrial wastewater extension. The City is preparing to expand the existing River Road Sewage Pumping Station (SPS), gravity and force mains. This expansion is in response to Dow Chemical (Dow) plans to eliminate their onsite wastewater treatment and disposal system and redirect current and future flows to Arrow Utilities (Arrow). Dow's project is part of a larger expansion / modernization to their site in Fort Saskatchewan. The existing SPS, force main and gravity main were constructed in 1999 as a phased approach to serving the Industrial lands with wastewater discharge. Lands included the Heavy Industrial areas and the Medium Industrial Areas. The SPS was not constructed to its ultimate capacity in 1999 however there are provisions for additional pumps to be added. TIMELINE: Project is in design. Construction is planned for 2025; tender timing to be finalized. Further update may be available late summer/fall 2025. *Budget is unreleased.
