No bid will be considered unless it is accompanied by a certified or cashiers check or bidders bond executed on the standard form acceptable to Owner, in either case, the amount shall be not less than 5% of the greatest amount of the bid (considering Alternates, if any). The bid security shall ensure the execution of the Contract and the furnishing of an acceptable Performance and Payment bond by the successful bidder within twenty (20) days after notification of award to such bidder, and that his bid will not be withdrawn within twenty (20) days after the date of opening of the bid without the consent of OWNER. The Performance and Payment bond shall be in the amount of 100% of the total Contract Sum, in form prescribed by Owner.
