This project involves construction of an extension to the existing water main from Fern Road, and installation of water main along County Line Road; disconnect residential properties from private wells and connect to the new water main. The project will include road and property restoration. Prospective bidders are required to familiarize themselves with the project site. Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw bid within SIXTY (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids. A.The Scope of Work for this project is generally described as follows: 1. Installation of valves, removal of existing valves, and restoration. 2. Proposed piping materials for the project will be purchased by the Contractor including fittings, valves, joints materials, joint restraints, couplings, all bolts, nuts and washers, and accessories. 3. Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all pipe bedding, backfill materials 4. Costs for removal and disposal of excavated material shall be included in the Contractor’s bid. Hauling and installation of stone and asphalt shall be included in the Contractor’s bid. Stone and asphalt materials are expected to be obtained at quarries at Rush Valley.
