Renovation of a detention facility in Springfield, Missouri. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, Springfield, Missouri, intends to make a Sole Source award under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) to Johnson Controls Inc Building Technologies & Solutions 2757 S. Austin Ave Springfield, MO 65807 for supply and install of a DDC Control System of Energy Recovery Ventilator located at the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, 1900 W. Sunshine Street, Springfield, Missouri. The required control system shall be compatible with existing building system(s). A controls package is needed for the 9-building ERV Equipment. This unit supplies 2 bathrooms on 2 floors (4 bathroom spaces in total) with fresh air and exhaust. In addition to the unit, there is a hot water and a chilled water coil on the discharge air of the unit for cooling and reheat. For these coils, 2 way 1-1/2" brass proportional control valves will need to be add and included in the controls package. Need to control dehumidification of the space. A network engine will need to be included that will fully communicate and allow the Government to fluidly control within our pre-existing Metasys BMS network. Network components to be installed by the Government to the contractors specifications. Contractor will need to program, commission and field test at equipment startup. This acquisition is FOB destination. Any vendor who believes they can meet these requirements shall provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by the response deadline detailed in the Contract Opportunities Posting. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed and must show competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice will be solely at the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement to Johnson Controls Inc Building Technologies & Solutions 2757 S. Austin Ave Springfield, MO. Responses must be emailed to rhanners@bop.gov by the response deadline detailed in the Contract Opportunities Posting. Verification of receipt is the responsibility of the vendor. All vendors doing business with the federal government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) system. The point of contact for all information regarding this posting is Ross Hanners, Contract Specialist, at the email listed. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time
