Site work for a civil project in De Kalb, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Furnish, install, disinfect, and test new 500 GPM deep well line shaft turbine pump, complete with a new electric motor and indicated appurtenances, so as to produce the required flow at the actual total head based on the original well included as Appendix 4 to these technical specifications The work is generally described as: WATER SYSTEM DISTRIBUTION IMPROVEMENTS The principal items of work in DeKalb, MS involve rehabilitation of a 250,000 gallon elevated water tank located at Birch Street, rehabilitation of a 300,000 gallon water tank and a 500,000 gallon standpipe located at the water treatment plant at Baptist Springs Road. The work also includes rehabilitation of Town of Dekalb Deep Well No. 2 located on Highway 16 approximately 4 miles West of DeKalb, MS. Minority and women's business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors, and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities and equipment, material, and/or supply needs. The award, if made, will be made to the lowest and best qualified bidder on the basis of unit bid prices in the contract documents. Actual work quantities performed shall be based on availability of funds. The work to be done is generally as shown in the plans and technical specifications. The Town of Dekalb hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, all minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The Town of Dekalb reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to reject any and all bids or to award or refrain from awarding the contract for the work, whichever is deemed to be in the Owner's best interest. Contract security in the form of 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required.
