Demolition and site work for a fire / police facility in Emporia, Kansas. Completed plans call for the demolition of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

The work for the Demotion Project will consist of the approximate quantities: BASE BID: (Dumping Fees Covered by City of Emporia) QUANTITY Demolition of Existing Structure 1 Check for Asbestos and Disposal of Asbestos per KDHE 1 Coordination and/or Removal and Capping of Existing Utilities - City Water, City Sanitary Sewer, Telephone/Communication, Natural Gas & Electricity(Franchise Utilities) 1 Site Grading (non-compaction) 1 No Dumping Fees (Covered by City) Work to be performed pursuant to this bid proposal shall be accomplished within 30 (thirty) working days following receipt of the Purchase Oder/Notice to Proceed unless such time is extended by the city. The contractor awarded the bid for demolition will contact Kansas 811 or Dig Safe 811 to have underground facilities marked prior to any excavation or demolition. The contractor will inspect to determine if electrical service, gas service and water service has been disconnected prior to any demolition work. If there is any doubt about whether the service is still connected the contractor will contact the appropriate utility company to determine the status of service. The City of Emporia, Kansas, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive defects in bids. No bids will be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the time set for opening of bids.
