Site work and renovation of a civil project in Santa Cruz, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

These two projects are to be awarded together to a single contractor 9048-002 1 Mil. Gallon Repaint Water Tank and 9048-003 Emergency Water System Pump Station Refurbishment Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Santa Cruz, sealed bids for a lump-sum contract for both of these projects are invited for the following work: Campus Utilities - 1 Million Gallon Storage Tank Repainting 9048-02 Campus Utilities - Emergency Water System Pump Station Refurbishment 9048-003 Descriptions of Work: 9048-002 - Paint 1 Million Gallon Water Storage Tank. 9048-003 - Remove and provide new piping, valves, pump, motor, electrical starter panel, control system for each pump, etc. to have a fully functioning pump station. Provide new VFD to operate the pump in variable pressure mode to maintain constant pressure in the distribution system. First pump needs to be fully operational and tested prior to removing the second pump. When 2nd pump is installed cycle every 24 hours. This system will operate while the 1 Million Gallon (MG) storage tank is being painted. Once painting is completed run pumps on level control as they were before. Provide 10,000-gallon temporary steel pressure tank and associated piping. Provide temporary fence around tank.
