Disclaimer: IN ORDER FOR YOUR BID TO BE CONSIDERED A LEGAL BONAFIDE BIDDER ON THE PROJECT, DOCUMENTS MUST BE PURCHASED FROM REMINGTON, VERNICK ENGINEERS DIRECTLY The City of Gloucester City Reserves the Right to Consider the Bids for Sixty (60) Days After the Receipt Thereof, and Further Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids, Either in Whole or in Part and Also to Waive Any Informality in Any and Make Such Awards or Take Action as May Be in the Best Interest of the City of Gloucester City, in Accordance With Applicable Law. Each Bid Shall Be Accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond Duly Executed by the Bidder as Principal and Having as Surety Thereon a Surety Company Approved by the City of Gloucester City in an Amount Not Less Than Ten Percent (10%) but in No Case in Excess of $20,000.00 of the Amount Bid. The project "5th & Market Parking Lot Resurfacing" consists of site improvements to the 5th Street & Market Street parking lot located in the City of Gloucester, Camden County, New Jersey. The work for this project includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following major work items: 1. The 5th & Market parking lot shall be resurfaced by milling of existing HMA surface at 2" depth and overlaying with HMA surface course 9.5M64, 2" thick. 2. Reconstruction of select areas, as directed, to provide positive storm water flow. 3. Installation of precast concrete wheel stops, where directed. 4. Installation of traffic stripes, where directed. 5. Topsoil, fertilizer, and seed will be placed in all disturbed areas. Area affected by the proposed work will be regraded. Topsoil shall conform to the Standards of Section 804, herein, or better 6. All related incidental work, including resetting of castings, & valve boxes, earthwork, traffic control, dust control, soil erosion, and sediment control, cleaning, and restoration as necessary. 7. Contractor is required to provide survey layout services by a New Jersey State Licensed Professional Land Surveyor to ensure positive drainage along all resurfaced areas. Separate payment will not be made for survey layout services. However, the cost shall be included in the Unit Price bid for the various items of the project. 1.03 The above Scope of Work outlines the general items of work and shall not be construed as being all-inclusive. 1.04 The contractor shall be responsible for the location of all utilities and for scheduling all work involved with utilities. Any cost related to the contractor shall be included in the various items in the proposal. 1.05 The contractor shall perform a preconstruction video of the site. The cost of the video is not paid separately but shall be included in the various items in the proposal 1.06 The contractor shall submit submittals prior to the start of work. 1.07 The contractor shall visit the site and include all of the costs for a complete project. The owner is not responsible for additional costs based on the contractor's failure to properly inspect the existing conditions, field verify all dimensions and include all costs in the bid. 1.08 The location map, general notes, and construction details entitled "5th & Market Parking Lot Resurfacing" are appended hereto and are made part of these specifications.
