TP-5.2: Medium Voltage Substations. On behalf of Prairie Mountain Health, Bockstael Construction Limited has requested proposals for the supply of the Medium Voltage Substations (Transformers). Provide identification and warning signs for complete electrical systems as shown, as specified, as intended, and as otherwise required. Work to be done under this Section to include only the materials, and equipment required for manufacture, testing and putting into proper operation complete systems as shown as specified and as otherwise required. The labour for the installation of the equipment is not included. .1 Transformers shall have voltage and kVA rating as indicated on supplemental drawings. .2 Liquid cooled, outdoor, distribution transformer type KNAN, with provision for fan cooling. .3 The transformer shall be cooled by the natural circulation of air over the tank with an additional rating obtained by forced air circulated over the radiators or corrugate. The unit shall be provided with KNAN/KNAF rated cooling including fans and control equipment. Control power shall be provided by CPTs in the primary switchgear. Additional capacity ratings shall be as follows: 33%. .4 Transformer windings and all current carrying parts shall be copper. .5 Transformers shall be self-contained, free standing units suitable for floor mounting. .6 Provide anti-vibration mountings to isolate not less than 90% of disturbing vibrations. .7 Transformers shall have provisions for incoming and outgoing conductor entry as shown on Drawings. .8 Transformers shall be equipped with grounding provision specified in Table 3 of CSA Standard C9. .9 The transformer shall be furnished with full capacity high-voltage taps. The tap- changer shall be clearly labeled to reflect that the transformer must be de- energized before operating the tap-changer as required in Section 4.3 of IEEE Std C57.12.34TM-2009 standard. Transformers to have four (4) - 22% full capacity primary taps, two above and two below nominal voltage. .10 Three phase transformers shall have Delta connected primary and Grounded Wye secondary. the low voltage neutral shall be a fully insulated XO bushing with ground strap. Provide a removal bus jumper to neutral connection for testing.
