General District Courthouse Hot Water Boiler Plant Replacement Questions which may arise as a result of this solicitation may be addressed to Tyler V. The purpose of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to solicit bids for all labor, equipment, permits, fees, and materials necessary to replace the hot water boiler plant at Chesterfield County General District Courthouse, 9500 Courthouse Road, Chesterfield, VA 232832. II. SCOPE OF WORK/SPECIFICATIONS Specifications and Drawings prepared by Dewberry Engineers, dated 05/03/2024 are included in ATTACHMENT B and C. Information regarding use of a brand name is addressed in Section IV.B. SPECIAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS, page 20 item 5. Variance in specifications deemed not to be material, in the sole discretion of the County, may be allowed in determining the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Work under the resulting contract shall include, but is not limited to the following: 1. Demolition of two (2) existing fire tube boilers, associated hydronics pumps, and hot water plant piping. 2. Provide and install three (3) new condensing boilers, associated hydronic pumps, and new hot water plant piping. 3. Associated BAS controls, testing and balancing of the hot water system, hot water system flushing, and water treatment. 4. The Building Automation System (BAS) manufacturer shall be SIEMENS INDUSTRY, INC. and shall be an extension of the existing building wide automation system (no substitutes). The system has been pre-bid and the proposal amount is included on the BID FORM (Pricing Schedule, Item 2). See Attachment - D Siemens Proposal.
