Questions may be submitted through the online on or before Friday, July 26, 2024 at 4:00 P.M. Responses will be provided to all registered plan holders no later than Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 4:30 P.M. The Allentown Housing Authority reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to accept or reject any or all proposals or to waive any informalities in bidding, and to withhold award for a period of sixty (60) days. Attention is called to all respondents that all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity requirements for federally assisted contracts must be complied with. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Removal and replacement of the existing fire alarm system with new intelligent addressable fire alarm system including the new addressable multi-criteria smoke/carbon detectors via extension of the fire alarm system in the adjacent building, Gross Towers. 2. Removal of existing emergency call system. 3. Patching and painting as to restore incomplete or damaged finished related to the demolition and / or installation of the new fire alarm system. 4. All other Work as indicated in the Contract Documents. B. Type of Contract: 1. Project will be constructed under a single-prime contract. 1.5 PHASED CONSTRUCTION A. The Work shall be conducted in a single phase. 1. Existing fire alarm system shall remain operational until the new fire alarm system is fully operational and certified. Removal of the existing fire alarm system can only begin after the new system is completed and certified. B. Before commencing Work, submit an updated copy of Contractor's construction schedule showing the sequence, commencement and completion date of the Work.
