This document serves as the Birmingham Airport Authority's ("BAA") request for proposal ("RFP") for a qualified company ("Contractor") to add five (5) sump pumps in the airfield electrical manholes at the Birmingham - Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM Airport) Provide and install five (5) sump pumps. One in each of the 5 vaults. See specification in Exhibit A See locations of the Five (5) sump pumps in Appendix A. Provide and install five (5) drainage pipes to the nearest drain for each vault. Trench from each vault to nearest drain Backfill trench. Provide sod to recover trenches to meet Airport/FAA standards on the airfield. Provide electrical circuits to each vault. Provide a disconnect switch in each vault Provide a small, wall mounted transformer in each vault. Provide a twist lock receptacle in weathertight box in each vault to serve as disconnect for the pump. Work to be done around the airport's schedule tentatively Midnight -4 am. BAA has an MBE/WBE participation goal for the scope of work associated with this RFP of 4 percent (%) (the ''MBE/WBE'' Participation Goal'').
