The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or any part of any bid, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bid. In the event you receive a notification of intent to award letter, you will be required to provide your Jefferson County business license within 10 days of receipt of notice of intent to award. If you are not currently registered with Jefferson County Revenue Department, and do not have a business account number, applications may be obtained Conductivity Controllers propose, if necessary, should have pre-blowdown and lockout capabilities. 2. All treated systems should have corrosion coupon racks. 3. Even if pails are used, they need containment. 4. Testing for each water tower and closed loop must include bacteria dip slides and corrosion coupon analysis for mild steel and copper on a quarterly basis. Installation of the coupon racks is the responsibility of Jefferson County. If there is no rack, coupon testing is not required. 5. Vendor must run 1 volume determination on each tower to confirm system volumes. 6. Vendor must run and provide a complete raw water (system make-up water) analysis on a quarterly basis and provide results to Jefferson County. All bidders must file a cashier’s check or a bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the estimated cost, but not to exceed $10,000. RESPONSES SUBMITTED WITHOUT BID BOND OR CASHIER’S CHECK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED Any person entering into a contract with an awarding authority in this state for the prosecution of any public works shall, before commencing the work, execute a performance bond within fifteen (15) consecutive calendar days with penalty equal to 100% percent of the amount of the contract price Telephone inquiries with questions regarding clarification on any and all specifications of the ITB will not be accepted. The Jefferson County Commission may offer a one (1) year contract with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year terms or a three (3) year contract.
