This project entails the installation of approximately 1,004 linear feet of new 8-inch sanitary sewer main, including three (3) manholes and five (5) laterals, and the abandonment of the existing 8- inch sanitary sewer main and its manholes. The scope of work also encompasses the rerouting of existing sanitary sewer services to the new main, site restoration, and all ancillary tasks required to deliver a fully completed project on SR 1115 (Golfview Drive) from the intersection of SR 1225 (Permastone Lake Road) to approximately 1,000 linear feet north of SR 1115 (Golfview Drive). Deadline for Addenda issued by PWC Procurement Department and Project Engineer2 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2024. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the bid executed by a surety company licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute the Contract in accordance with the bid bond and upon failure to forthwith make payment, the surety shall pay the obligee an amount equal to the amount of said bond. Said deposit shall be retained by the Owner as liquidated damages in event of failure of the successful bidder to execute the Contract within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award or give satisfactory surety as required by law. Performance and Payment Bonds are required in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount and shall be furnished by the Contractor.
