Halifax Water is seeking a contractor to assist with drying bed preparation and sludge removal. Contractor will load dump trucks, supplied by another contract, dried sludge from the berms of three drying beds at JD Kline Water Supply Plant. Within a three period, 2500MT of dried sludge will be collected and added to dump trucks for removal. Once this is completed, the contractor can then prepare the secondary drying beds for new sludge by moving the sludge in the bed to form berms. Once the beds are prepared, Contractor will then use a long reach excavator to collect sludge from the primary drying beds, place into their own provided dump trucks and relocated on site to the secondary drying beds.
