The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District (NWK), intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation for replacing the existing HVAC system for historic building 22 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside, competitively negotiated procurement using informal source selection procedures and will result in the award of one Firm Fixed Price, Design-Bid- Build contract. This acquisition will use a Best Value Trade-Off method of evaluation in accordance with FAR Part 15 and Part 36. Award will be made to the best overall proposal, which is determined to be the most beneficial to the Government. The anticipated magnitude of the construction contract is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The anticipated period of performance will be 540 days from Notice to Proceed. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238220 (Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors), with a small business size standard of $19,000,000.00.
