Cooling Tower Repairs The University of South Carolina is soliciting bona fide quotes per S.C. Code Ann. 11-35-1550 from a qualified vendor with a Cooling Tower License for repairs to Tower 3 at South Energy Facility, 1323 Whaley Street. 1. Remove the existing deteriorated belts and motor adjustment rod from all four (4) cells. 2. Remove the deteriorated bearings from two (2) fan cells. 3. Furnish and install the following new mechanical components, a. Four (4) new OEM bearings - within two (2} fan cells b. Four (4) new 4B-162 belts - within all four (4) fan cells c. Four (4) new motor adjustment rods d. All new grease lines within all four (4) fan cells. 4. Installtwo (2) new motorsprovided byCustomer - crane and hoisting services provided by the vendor. 5. Perform the alignment between the driver and driver sheave to manufacturer's proper specifications. 6. Torque allfasteners to manufacturer'sproper specifications. 7. Furnish and install one (1} new stainless-steel support and weld in place -to affect one (1) fan cell. 8. Clean up project site placing any debris. 9. Start up, test and check Direct all questions to buyer at 803-777-6718
