Pre Bid Conference(N/A) Provide professional Forensic Architecture and Engineering services as required for retained services to be used on an as needed basis. All work shall be performed under and be approved by a responsible party licensed in the State of California. Successful firms may be awarded multi-year $5,000,000.00 agreements, up to five (5) years, on a fixed rate basis. Individual task orders within the agreements will be prepared and issued for specific projects on an as needed basis. The scope of services and total fee for individual task orders will be negotiated utilizing the rates specified in the retainer agreement. The State does not guarantee any task orders will be made under the agreements during the agreement term. The selected firm(s) shall provide Forensic Architecture and Engineering services on an as-needed basis for new, addition, renovation, or remodel projects located throughout the State of California. The basic services to be provided may include, but not be limited to, providing and/or preparing: o Detection, diagnosis, and identification of the cause, effects, and remedy of building and equipment defects and/or failures, o Design and analysis of building structures and components containing concrete, steel, masonry, and wood materials, o Evaluation and investigation of building related environmental complaints or hazards using physical evidence and scientific methods, o Evaluation and investigation of water intrusion and corrosion, o Evaluation and investigation of settlement and material failures, o Analysis of design and construction defects, o Evaluation and investigation of mold accumulation, o Code analysis, o Remediation construction documents, o Construction support, o Design documents (plans and specifications), o Field investigations, observation of work, and project meetings, and o Studies, reports, shop drawing review, as-built drawings, and cost estimates. Task orders for specific projects and scopes of work shall be issued and signed by both parties to authorize work under the executed agreements so long as (i) the task order does not exceed the scope of work set forth in the agreement, and (ii) the task order does not amend any terms of the agreement. Task orders for new work shall only be issued during the first thirty-six (36) months of the agreement term. The final twenty-four (24) months of the agreement term shall only be used to complete any outstanding task order work. At the sole discretion of the State, a new task order may be issued during the final twenty-four (24) months of the agreement term when necessary to complete task order work authorized during the first thirty-six (36) months of the agreement term.
