Central Park Exercise Equipment and Pathway Location and Description. The Project is located in Central Park, 40000 Paseo Parkway, Fremont, California, and is described as follows: The project consists of the clearing and grubbing of vegetation; demolition and removal of existing dirt, gravel and asphalt pathway; rough grading of site, storm drain line installation with new area drains, field inlet and perforated subdrain systems; installation of sanitary sewer and potable water line for drinking fountain, concrete pathways, 12" curb, 12" concrete landscape wall, poured in place safety surfacing, synthetic turf with performance pad, exercise rig, isolated exercise equipment, shade structures, planting, including boulders, replacement sod, trees; installation of site furnishings, including benches, bike racks, trash and recycle receptacles and bollards; and provide connection to existing irrigation mainline and install new irrigation for no mow sod and trees. Time for Completion. The planned timeframe for commencement and completion of construction of the Project is: 85 (eighty-five) Working Days. Estimated Project Cost. The estimated construction cost, or construction cost range, for the Project is $1,900,000. This estimate serves only as a guideline to bidders of the scope of the Work and the Project. No bidder, including the successful bidder, is entitled to make any claim against City based on inaccuracy of the estimated cost or range of cost of the Work or the Project. Bid Security. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier's or certified check made payable to City, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California on the Bid Bond form included with the Contract Documents. The bid security must guarantee that, upon award of the bid, the successful bidder will execute the Contract and submit the payment and performance bonds, the insurance certificates, and the other documentation required by the Contract Documents, within ten days after City's issuance of the Notice of Award. Performance and Payment Bonds. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the Contract Price.
