Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Burlington, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Construction of two separate permeable paver sites. The first site consists of approximately 1,189 square yards of permeable pavement with storage and filter aggregate, 7" thick and 2' wide concrete edger, 576 linear feet of 8" subdrain with cleanouts, approximately 851 square feet of 4" thick sidewalk, approximately 245 square yards of 8" PCC pavement, excavation, subgrade preparation, subbase, testing, mobilization, traffic control, erosion control, and surface restoration are required, including miscellaneous work and cleanup. The second site consists of approximately 250 square yards of permeable pavement with storage and filter aggregate, 7" thick and 2' concrete edger, 491 linear feet of 8" subdrain with cleanouts, approximately 1,466 square feet of 4" thick sidewalk, approximately 38 square yards of 8" PCC pavement, excavation, subgrade preparation, subbase, testing, mobilization, traffic control, erosion control, and surface restoration are required, including miscellaneous work and cleanup. The Council of the City of Burlington will meet at the City Hall in said Municipality, on the 15th day of July, 2024 Each Bidder shall accompany the Bid with a Bid security, in a separate envelope, as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon. The bidder's security shall be in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) and shall be in the form of a cashier's or certified check drawn on a bank in Iowa or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States of America, or a certified bank share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States of America or a bid bond with corporate surety satisfactory to the City. The successful bidder will furnish after the award of the contract a corporate surety bond or bonds, acceptable to the City, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equivalent to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the contract. The City reserves the right to waive informalities or irregularities. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. The City reserves the right to choose the lowest Base Bid and reject the Alternate Bid or reserves the right to choose the lowest Base Bid plus Alternate Bid combined.
