This contract includes roadway improvements to East Main Street, including pavement rehabilitation, pavement milling, asphalt paving, drainage system improvements, water system upgrade, sidewalk reconstruction and other related work. The following is a summary of the work expected to be ordered under this contract Install and maintain environmental protection during construction. Provide traffic control including signage, traffic control cones and barrels, and uniformed police officers. Install new 12 inch ductile iron water main and new water services while maintaining existing water lines and services. Drainage system improvements including new catch basins, drain manholes and piping. Remove existing curb and sidewalks, relocate existing curb line with some existing granite curb and new granite curb, construct 6 foot wide concrete sidewalk. The pavement rehabilitation will include some full depth pavement reconstruction and various depth pavement milling and resurfacing to the proposed line and grade as shown on the construction plans. Provide and install new highway guardrail system. Temporary and permanent pavement stripping. All incidental work to complete the project as included in the contract documents.
