Site work for a civil project in Asheboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The award of a contract under this solicitation may be paid with federal funding. Funding is contingent upon compliance with all terms and conditions of funding award. All prospective contractors and sub-contractors shall comply with all applicable federal laws, regulations, executive orders, FEMA requirements and the terms and conditions of the funding award. In addition, vendor submitting qualifications shall be responsible for complying with state law and local ordinances. Bids from qualified disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) are encouraged. Bidders shall be required to submit with their Bids affidavits of "Good Faith Efforts" in the recruitment of Minority Businesses. After Bids are opened, the Owner shall evaluate them in accordance with the methods and criteria set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Unless all Bids are rejected, Award will be made to the lowest responsible Bidder, taking into consideration quality, performance and the time specified in the proposals for the performance of the Contract. The Project consists of the following major items: 1. Install approx. 5,176 LF of 12" Diameter Gravity Sewer Line 2. Install approx. 12,345 LF of 12" Diameter Force Main 3. Install a 730 GPM Sewer Lift Station Bid Security in the amount of five (5) percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid and shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. dou note: With a request for Bidding Documents supply the following information: o Company name, contact person with email, street address, and phone numbers; NC contractor's license with limitation and classification; indicate if the firm will be a Bidder, Supplier or Sub-Contractor. Non-Refundable Fee for the Bidding Documents o Access to Website Download of PDF: Registration and access to the Issuing Office Project Bidding site for Electronic download of Bidding Documents as PDF files for a fee in the amount of $50.00. This does not include printed copies. o Access to Website and Printed Copies: Bidding Documents, including full size Drawings, will be shipped to the Bidder for a fee in the amount of $100.00. The Bidding Documents will be shipped UPS ground. This fee will also include registration and access to the Issuing Office Project Bidding site for electronic download of Bidding Documents as PDF Files, as noted above. Partial sets of Bidding Documents and CAD files will NOT be available from the Issuing Office. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. Bidders will be required to show evidence that they are licensed to perform the work in the Bidding Documents as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87 and the Instructions to Bidders. Randolph County reserves the right to award and/or reject any and/or all submissions and waive any technicalities or irregularities. Questions regarding the project may be emailed up to 1 week prior to Bid Opening (Aug 7, 2024).
