The Project includes the following Work: 2,200 LF of 4" PVC water main, 9,000 LF of 6" PVC water main, and 3,100 LF of 8" PVC water main utilizing conventional open cut; and 250 LF of 4" FPVC water main, 700 LF of 6" FPVC water main, 600 LF of 8" FPVC water main, and 2,200 LF of 10" FPVC water main utilizing horizontal directional drilling methods. The project also includes construction of valves, fire hydrants, connections to existing mains, abandonment of existing water system components, replacement of water services, and associated restoration. Bid security must be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. To be considered qualified, Bidder must be licensed to engage in the business of contracting in the State of Florida by the Construction Industry Licensing Board and must have successfully completed, as prime contractor, a minimum of 3 projects of a similar nature involving water main/force main installation within the past 5 years, each having a minimum contract value of $500,000 with at least one project having a contract value in excess of $1,000,000.
