A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Construction of a new main lift station, pretreatment with fine screens and grit removal, selector basins, aeration basins, positive displacement blowers, final clarifiers, UV disinfection, control building, biosolids thickening, and a biosolids storage tank. o Decommissioning and demolition of existing wastewater treatment facilities, including but not limited to clarifiers, chlorine contact basin, and UV building. o Rehabilitation and reuse of operations building, maintenance garage, aerobic digesters, and filter building. o Various trades throughout the project site including, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, controls, painting, and civil site improvements. Bids are requested for the following Contract: Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvements Work on the Project is expected to commence upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Project has an expected duration of 660 days to Substantial Completion and 720 days to Final Completion. Doc Note - Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office by paying a deposit of $200 for each set to include project manual and half-size drawings. Bidders who return full sets of the Bidding Documents in good condition within 14 days after receipt of Bids will receive a full refund. Non-Bidders, and Bidders who obtain more than one set of the Bidding Documents, will receive a refund of $200 for documents returned in good condition within the time limit indicated above. Bids must be accompanied by Bid security as required by Iowa Code section 26.8, as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of contract a corporate surety bond, acceptable to the Owner, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the amount of the contract. The bid security shall be made payable to Owner in an amount of five (5) percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and shall be in the form of a cashier's check or certified check drawn on a state-chartered or federally chartered bank, or a certified share draft drawn on a statechartered or federally chartered credit union, or a Bid bond (on the form included in the Bidding Documents) issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraphs 6.01 of the General Conditions.
