Renovation of a mixed-use development in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
All questions pertaining to this Request for Proposal (RFP) shall be submitted in writing no later than Thursday, August 01, 2024. Questions may be faxed to Amanda Trujillo at fax # (919) 731-1388 or emailed to: Amanda.Trujillo@waynegov.com. Only written questions will be considered formal. Any information given verbally or by telephone will be considered informal. Any questions the County feels pertinent to all proposers will be emailed as an addendum to the RFP. FAX and e-mail messages will be treated as written questions. The County of Wayne is soliciting sealed proposals to install exterior buried fiber for the New County Jail and DSS/Health Buildings. This RFP is for 2 buildings being built and will be connected to the County of Wayne network. At the New County Jail roll piping will be installed between an existing pipe and a hand hole down the street from that location. A new 48-strand single-mode fiber will be installed between the data room inside the building and the hand hole on Stronach Ave. At the hand hole, the 48 strands will be fusion spliced to the existing 144 stand fiber using buffer tubes 7-8. Inside the building, the 48-strand single mode will terminate into a fiber enclosure inside the data room on plywood. SC connectors will be used in the enclosure. See section 21.2 for more details. At the DSS/Health Building a 4" conduit has been installed from the inside data room to a hand hole near the parking lot. The conduit has a mule tape installed. It then continues to another hand hole 30 feet away and finally into a 4" conduit that goesinto the 911 Center data room. You will then install 60-strand singlemode fiber between the 2 buildings. In the DSS/Health building, you will terminate the fiber in a wallmounted fiber enclosure that you provide on plywood. SC connectors will be used in this enclosure. In the 911 Center, you will supply the required cassettes that will work in the existing enclosure and then terminate the fiber in the cassettes. SC connectors will be used at this location. See section 21.1 for more details. After both projects are completed, each strand of fiber between the buildings will be tested and certified with the results provided to the County of Wayne IT Project Coordinator. The County of Wayne reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals. The County of Wayne encourages all businesses, including minority and women-owned, to respond to all Requests for Proposals. Each bidder must thoroughly examine the Request for Proposal and contract documents to ensure that the vendor can meet all requirements. Proposals shall be submitted on the forms included within the RFP documents. Proposals shall be signed by the person or persons legally authorized to bind the Service Provider to a contract. Proposals that are not signed will be rejected. A bid by a corporation shall further give the state of incorporation and have the corporate seal affixed. Failure to submit a proposal with all proposal requirements may be considered sufficient cause for rejection of the Proposal. Any interlineations, alterations or erasures must be initialized by the signer of the proposal. Proposals shall remain firm for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after proposals are due.
