The City of Goldsboro is seeking professional services for the design and project management of a Pocket Park within the West Oak neighborhood to maximize the visual appeal of the selected green space, and actively serve the community as a gathering place for residents. A Project Team consisting of the City Manager, Assistant City Manager, Planning Director, Downtown Development Director, Community Relations & Development Director, Housing Authority of the City of Goldsboro Director and Goldsboro-Wayne Transit Authority Director will review submissions and make a recommendation to the Choice Neighborhoods Project Management Team. A precedent image for the kind of pocket park envisioned is provided below. program elements for the pocket park could include: 1) A soft-surface walking path 2) Children's play area 3) An arbor and pedestrian bridge 4) Benches and seating 5) An open field play area 6) Public art 7) Natural and ornamental landscaping During the evaluation process, the City reserves the right to request clarification or additional information, and proposers may be requested to make an oral presentation as part of the process Overall project budget should not exceed $180,000, including fees. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, hold proposals for a period of ninety (90) days, add or delete work, waive informalities and to select the firm and service options that are in the best interest of the City CONTRACTOR certifies that they are not listed on the Final Divestment List created by the State Treasurer pursuant to N.C.G.S. 143-6A-4.
