Site work for a water / sewer project in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Work is located in Goldsboro, North Carolina at the Water Treatment Plant Raw Water Intake Site near the intersection of Stevens Mill Road and Farm Road in Goldsboro, NC. The Work consists of the following: o Replacement of one wedge-wire water supply intake screen (to be furnished by Owner). o Pre-construction mussel survey with relocation of federally protected mussels, if found (see Appendix A - M&R #4 for requirements). o Post-construction Neuse River Waterdog Survey (see Appendix A - M&R #5 for requirements). o Dredging in the vicinity of the intake screen to facilitate screen removal and replacement of the screen. o Hauling and disposal of the materials removed from the work area to an acceptable offsite disposal location. Bids will be received for a SINGLE prime Contract. Bids shall be on a LUMP SUM AND UNIT PRICE BASIS, as indicated on the Bid Form. The Contract Times for the Work are set forth in the Agreement. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall submit proof of qualifications to perform the Work as described in the Instructions to Bidders. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, to add or delete work, to waive informalities, and to award contract which, in the opinion of the City, appears to be in its best interest.
