Renovation of a multi-residential development in Hillsboro, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

The Hillsboro Housing Authority is seeking Proposals from qualified firms to provide all labor and materials for Exterior Modernization work at their Grand Oaks Apartments site. The general scope of work includes siding/trim replacement, trim repairs, exterior painting and other items as shown on the drawings and as specified herein. Telephone contact can be made by calling 620-223-6030. Scope of Work a) Misc. Sitework i) Please see the attached plans and technical specifications to determine the full scope of work. ii) The general scope includes (1) Demolition of existing siding and trim as noted. (2) Inspection of the underlaying structural sheathing. (3) Misc. repairs to damaged sheathing (4) Installation of new moisture barrier and siding/trim (5) Inspection and repairs to rake fascia trims (6) Inspection and repairs to porch columns. (7) Cleaning and caulking of painted surfaces. (8) Painting of new siding/trim and all other painted surfaces. (9) Complete additional work items identified on the plans as needed for a complete and working installation. iii) The Contractor is responsible for daily cleanup of the work areas, and for hauling these items off for disposal off site. iv) After the original contract has been awarded, additional work may be identified by the Owner and the successful contractor. Additional work will be done by a change order. v) All work shall be completed in compliance with these contract documents vi) Weekly certified payroll reports (CPR's) shall be completed and submitted to the Owner for review. The Owner will approve an agreement with one company within 30 days of the proposal submission date. The contract period will be 120 calendar days. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest qualified bidder. A bidder is considered qualified if they provide the submission documents indicated above and satisfy a reference check by the Owner. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to award the contract in the best interest of the Authority. The Housing Authority is Exempt from Sales Tax and will provide the successful Contractor with a Tax Exemption Certificate prior to purchase of any materials needed for the work. The Hillsboro HA board met yesterday and have awarded the contract to the apparent low bidder (Boards, Doors and More). Base Bid #1 - General Construction $42,971.27
