Renovation of a fire / police facility in Louisville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 9,768-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility.

**Per Addendum 3 the bid date has been extended from 08/07/24 to 08/09/24** Station 73 was originally designed to support a volunteer staff and now needs overnight accommodation for 6 persons. Each bunk will be designed for multiple people operating on different shifts. Most of the existing station will remain as-is except upgrades to the existing kitchen island and cabinet layout, including stainless steel countertops, to support permanent occupant use. Other miscellaneous workshall be required in the existing building as shown in the drawings. FCFD does not want to lose any apparatus bay space and therefore has decided to create the overnight sleeping program as a building addition. Each bunk room will be created around a queen-size bed and 3 large 4' high x 2' deep individual lockers. The building addition will also require support spaces such as toilets, bathing facilities and a laundry. The building will have designated areas functioning as a storm shelter. The building addition shall require earthwork and site preparation and additional parking. The building addition shall require mechanical, electrical and plumbing work.
