Installation of a concrete toe wall at the start and end points of channel improvements for transitions to existing channel. Placement of rock riprap within the channel and within swales that extend from the channel to the highest elevations within the planting zones. Grading of a flood bench, stabilizing eroding slopes, and installing two concrete check dams within the channel. Clearing of existing vegetation in the planting zones where reinforcement mat (TRM) shall be installed. Installation of TRM and erosion control blanket installation. Planting native plugs, shrubs, and seeds. Installation of rock edging. Installation of an architectural wall. Other miscellaneous restoration as indicated in the Contract Documents. Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining the plantings for three years following final completion. An Owner's Contingency Allowance determined by the City will be included within the Schedule of Values for this project, following the bid opening. A satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder or an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid for work shall be submitted with each proposal. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds.
